How to Stage Your Home: Part Three

These final home-staging tips will help sell your home fast for top dollar.

As we’ve discussed in previous posts, staging your home is critical if you want to sell your home fast for the price you want. So consider the following home-staging advice when preparing your home for the market.

Light Up the Room. Make sure your home has lots of light. If you have heavy, dark curtains, switch to simple sheer ones – they are light and airy and will visually enhance the size of the room. Also, leave the lights on when you know your agent is going to show your home.

Freshen Up. A pleasant, refreshing smell is also key, but stay away from lighting too many candles – it will give the idea that you’re hiding something. Instead, display fresh flowers.

Creating a good first impression may cost you some time and money in the beginning, but in the end it will add dollars to the selling price. For more home-buying or –selling advice, contact a Real Living agent or visit RealLiving.com today.
